Smoking trends is not an easy topic to summarize and obviously fluctuates based on region, country or even community. No matter where you are in the world one common trend is change. Whether that is based on regulations, bans, awareness or redesign of products, tobacco is at the forefront of the public eye.
Change is driven from many different angles. In the US market a new law has given the Food and Drug Administration oversight authority on the industry causing quite some controversy. While in other regions manufactures are simply adapting their products to stay ahead of what they already know is to come….change.
Over the last 20+ years, ‘true’ representation of what a tobacco user is receiving has been a popular topic. Thus studies of testing regimes as well as the tobacco products are receiving close attention. This has resulted from Borgwaldt KC in more flexible Rotary and Linear Smoking machines to accommodate these potentials.
With tobacco products now changing, it can be argued that tobacco users change how they currently use the products. A simple change in flavoring or the incorporation of ‘fire safe’ paper on cigarettes can change the dynamics of a user compared to just a few years ago. Borgwaldt’s commitment to data collection of human smoking and the ability of reproducing it continues to grow through the CReSS and smoking machines.
