Interview with Robin Wisniowski
05.12.2011
Mr. Wisniowski we would like to learn more about you and your work. Since when do you work for Borgwaldt KC and what have you done before?
I joined Borgwaldt KC in April 1997. Before, I made an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic specialized in industrial engineering at “Deutsche Bundesbahn” (German railway) for 3,5 years. Afterwards I worked several years in the ICE section of “Deutsche Bundesbahn” in Hamburg-Eidelstedt.
Was this the first time you were in contact with the tobacco industry?
Yes, that was my first contact with the tobacco industry.
Please describe your job – what are the greatest challenges for you?
The daily challenges for me are the production of the smoking machine RM200A, to manufacture this instrument in the required high quality and within the due time.
How does a normal working day in the Production / Assembly Department of Borgwaldt KC look like?
With the help of lists of parts and some engineering data, consisting of engineering drawings, assembling instructions, connection schemes, cable diagrams and pneumatic plans, I produce assembly groups for the smoking machine RM200A within a unit assembly system.
In-process and final inspections of these assembly groups belong as well to my daily duties.
What is your favorite instrument of the Borgwaldt KC portfolio and why?
My favorite instrument is the smoking machine RM200A as it is a complex fully automatic machine with a lot of technical innovations.
What are your targets for 2012?
The targets for the year 2012 for me and my team are to continue the production of Borgwaldt KC instruments of first-class quality and hopefully in good health.
Is there anything else we should know about you?
I’m happily married and have three wonderful children. I like motor cycling and bicycling and I’m much interested in football.
